Dating back to 1780, the Journals of Diocesan Conventions and Councils collection is the accumulating archive of the published proceedings of annual diocesan conventions, which include the official record of the bishop diocesan's reports and addresses, clergy and parish lists, annual reports of diocesan agencies, parish statistical reports, diocesan budgets, and directories.

Additionally, the journals of Provinces I-IX and foreign dioceses and missionary districts are included in the archive.

The records of the Convocation of American Churches in Europe (ACIE) includes administrative and financial records, correspondence, and some printed materials.

The records of Holy Spirit Mission Church for the Deaf includes a detailed history of the church, financial and administrative files, bylaws, publications, parish records, and parochial reports. Eight photo albums documenting the church from 1982 to 1998 round out the collection.

Primary source records received from parishes or Dioceses by canonical requirement or within the collection policy of the Archives, or deposited by an independent church entity for safekeeping. Records of missionary districts and pre-Executive Council missionary fields and jurisdictions are generally maintained in the Foreign Mission class (MP-02 or MP-04).
