- Abstract: The Guild of Scholars emerged in 1940 from an initiative by Episcopalian academics to bring together an association of fellow intellectuals who shared their interest in scholarly inquiry as an expression and means of deepening their Anglican faith. Since its founding, the Guild has expanded its membership beyond the arts and humanities to include lay scholars in the scientific, medical, and technical fields. It still holds its annual conference and publishes a newsletter, Vox Scholarium.
