The Quin Papers include over 700 sermons, a complete set of pocket diaries, scrapbooks, ledgers documenting clergy received and transferred, ordinations, and postulants in the Diocese of Texas, letters of ordination, printed material, appreciations, correspondence and other materials pertaining to Bishop Quin. Also included is a notebook belonging to Mrs. Hortense Quin from the 1946 Triennial meeting and typescript notes for addresses she wrote regarding those meetings.

- Abstract: Bishop Clinton S. Quin was born September 28, 1883 in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1908 and was ordained to the diaconate and the priesthood that same year. In 1909, he married Hortense Pilcher, who was an active member of The Episcopal Church. After serving in five Kentucky churches, he was called to the rectorship of Trinity Church, Houston, Texas in 1917. By 1918, he had become Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Texas. When Bishop Kinsolving died in 1928, Quin became the third Bishop of the Diocese of Texas. Bishop Quin retired in 1955 at the age of 72 and died on Thanksgiving Day, 1956. He is honored as one of the formative bishops of the Diocese of Texas.
