Guild of Scholars of the Episcopal Church, TheThe Papers of Elizabeth Griffin contains two items: a bound manuscript volume titled “A Catalogue of the Lands, Buildings, Memorials and Institutions of the Missionary District of the Philippine Islands.”; and a small notebook of her expenditures and receipts for the communion wafers she made for various mission churches and missionaries.
Griffin, Elizabeth GordonThis collection contains materials related to Green’s academic, ecumenical, and religious work. It includes collected records on Green’s participation in the Anglican Orthodox Theological Consultation (bulk 1986-1992); course preparation and curricula files for his courses at Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest (ETSS); research materials on Paul Tillich; a large number of writings, sermons, and prayers; and collected materials written by other authors.
Green, William BaillieRecords of official canonical standing committees and commissions, boards, joint house committees, task groups, and similar authorized ad hoc bodies acting in the interim and at the direction of the General Convention; may include records either generated directly by the interim body or collected as part of the central files of the Secretariat. The category does not include the separate category of Executive Council, which also acts as the board of directors for the DFMS and may act in the place of (rather at the direction of) the General Convention.
The records of the Girls’ Friendly Society in the United States of America (GFS-USA) provides an impressive historical record of the organization. Minutes and reports of the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Coordinating Board, as well as financial ledgers and audits document the organizations governing bodies and fiscal responsibilities. The relationship between the national headquarters of the GFS-USA and local chapters as well as the Department of Christian Education of the Executive Council is also well documented.
In addition, a large collection of publications provides a thorough history regarding the activities and mission of the GFS-USA from as early as 1878.
Girls Friendly SocietyThese records document the work of the General Field Services unit of the Executive Council’s Department of Christian Education, which provided consulting services to Episcopal dioceses, mission districts, and other Church organizations on educational issues. They include correspondence, printed materials, strategic planning documents, and forms and reports detailing field work done by departmental officers.
The complex, shifting, and sometimes obscure institutional reorganizations of Executive Council in the late 1960s and 1970s are partially reflected in this collection.
General Field ServicesGeneral Convention financial records include files created and maintained by the Treasurer of General Convention, during the time period when the Treasurer of Executive Council/DFMS and the Treasurer of General Convention were occupied by different persons and separate cash accounts were kept. Records includes correspondence related to financial matters; expense reports and worksheets; reports; budget and budget working files; and committee meeting files.
Treasurer of General ConventionRecords and official papers of the legislative sessions in joint gathering, including the legislative and special committee records (minutes, documents and other papers, including sanctioned audio, video, and electronic recordings of the proceedings.
Session Records document the planning, coordination and activities that took place before, during and immediately following the General Convention triennial legislative meetings for the 61st General Convention (1964) through the 70th General Convention (1991).

Executive Office of the General ConventionEcclesiastical jurisdictional records include filings maintained by the General Convention Office as supporting documentation on the establishment of diocesan and provincial jurisdictions.
Executive Office of the General ConventionMaterials reflect The Episcopal Church’s relationship with one of the three main organizational sections of the Anglican Communion – the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC). Records include correspondence, memos, delegate reports, meeting minutes, and newsletters. The ACC was formed following a resolution of a second organizational structure of the Communion, the Lambeth Conference, which at its 1968 meeting discerned the need for more frequent and representative contact among the Churches.
